Well I was sitting here this mornning posting, when I smelled smoke, Well the guy next door burns wood 24/7 in his fireplace, and the wife said a few weeks ago, if he does not clean his fireplace out it will burn up, well I smelled smoke, and then I smell like rubber burning, so I ran outside to see, sure as $hit, the top of his chimmeny was on fire big time, so I ran over and started beating on his door to get him up, We got the fire out, but it is still smodering, he may have to call fire department out, I told him to, just to be safe, I don't need my house going up right now, And man is it cold and windy outside, And I smell like smoke now. He was like maybe I should have this clean, Ya!!!!

Ok going back out to check on this dumb a$$, so he don't fall off the roof. LOL

13* outside and this dumb a$$ is duming water down the top, I said your gonna crack the tile, and then get hot ambers in the wall, I think he just called the fire department, cuz It don't seem to want to stop ligting up. All fun around here, my cheeks are frozen, had to come in and warm up.

They'd prolly cover it. It's not considered intentional....

I did some checking and in Ohio there is a fire in someone's home every 30 minutes! :eek

7% of those are chimney / flu related (2002 stats)

Well fireman were here check out everything, look good, said there lots of crack in the fule, and some hot spots here and there, they did what they had to, and said he got realy luckey that I had smell it when I did, a few min. later and his house would have gone up, and with the wind, it would have gone up fast, I had to cut the lock of my trailer and move it fast just in case the fireman needed to get in there, That, and I did not want my trailer to go up. Well got to go to work, post some pic's up later.

Happens all the time...You always here about it... especially if with some of the dumb a$$es burning pine in the fireplace...worst thing you can do!!! You gotta keep that chimney clean!!!!!

While they were here, the fire cheif had to leave to go to another chimmeny fire call. You Know I was thinking about this while on the road today, this guy don't know how luckey is was today, He took his kid to school, came home and went back to bed, on the other side of the house upstairs, Me, I had just put the kids on the bus, and was going to go to back to bed, but force myself to say awake and play on the puter, If I would have gone back to bed, who know how this day would have ended.
