Sure, I can post some pics, but it might be a few days before I see my boat. In the meantime, I'll try to describe the setup.
My Place Diverter is hydraulically operated by a cylinder and ram on the diverter itself. Next to where the ram mounts to the diverter, there is a control cable mounted to the diverter. It's size is similar to that of a bicycle brake and shifter control cable. The cable jacket is mounted to the cylinder, so the cable moves the EXACT same amount as the ram. Next to where my hydraulic pump is mounted on the inside of the transom, is the sending unit. While the other end of the cable jacket is mounted in a stationary position, the contol end is mounted on an arm attached to the sending unit. The mounting location on the arm is variable. In other words, the farther out on the arm the cable is attached, the farther the cable has to move to complete the full travel of the arm. The sender is, then, connected electronically to the gauge on the dash.
