| Quote (CaliKat @ Mar. 17 2008,10:31 am) | Okay...I'm filling out an online police report and I have 3 choices...Attempted Auto Theft/Vehicle Tampering (broken ignition, hotwired etc), Vandalism(damaging a vehicle), or Vehicle Burglary(stolen equipment/belongings from vehicle).  I'm sure the intent was vehicle theft or burglary, but since nothing was taken does it fall under vandalism?  They don't make it easy for you. ÂÂ
I know in the scheme of life this is small potatoes.  I'm fine, I still have my car and while I'm out a couple hundred bucks, it's not gonna kill me.  But it's the disregard/disrespect for others' property that pisses me off...and just that feeling of being violated and unsafe.
And dang....for such a small window there sure is a lot of glass!  Of course most of it ended up on my goretex jacket...going to really have to shake it out before I put it on again.
Thank you everyone for your concern and support.  Anyone want to come do a little varmint hunting for me? |
Go for Vandalism. That's they only thing they did. Just be cause the alarm scared them off, you can't prove intent. "Damn you sure know how to fock things up."-GFR
