I haven't seen one yet.  I saw Lester Holt from NBC drive one for a news segment, it was pretty funny.  He's tall and fit in it just fine.  Maybe we could get Kelly to test drive one for us and give us some feedback. :good  :laugh  ;)

My fear is what will happen when a Smart car is hit by a Suburban...or a big rig. :(

I agree with Calikat---  I don't want to be in an accident in one of those things.  It's worse than driving a golf cart.  At least if I get hit in my golf cart I get ejected.  I think that tiny little car would double as a casket after getting hit.  Yikes!

No kidding.  People around here are dumping their trucks and SUVs...or trying to.  No one wants to buy them.  My 4Runner would have good resale value if not for the gas price issues.

I've seen a handful of them around my area. Snapped a pic in my cell the first time. That one was entering the I-5....pretty brave I'd say :rotflmao  :rotflmao

I saw one in Laughlin last summer. The owner was more than happy to show me the car. It is a lot roomier inside than you would think. The only thing I couldn't get over was there is nothing in front of you when you look out the windshield. :eek  :eek

Seen a few around, sure are butt ugly too. They look smaller than an old V Dub bug, be kinda scary driving around town let alone the freeway, they should put a full roll cage in them things!.. :eek

Saw one on the 78 the other day, did not look very steady at speed.  I do not think I would take one on the freeway, around town it looks cool. :)
I think when I blew by it on my motorcycle the wind moved it sideways as well. ;) :D

You should, especially if you want to hop over the border to Cali.  I have a friend working at a Chevy dealership up in your area, the owner is one of his best friends so he landed himself a cushy job. :laugh   He lives in Fallon, not sure if that is where the dealership is.  Let me know if you want more info. :good

It gets 30-40 MPG

I don't understand why the vehicles of the mid 80s (Geo Metro, Ford Festiva, Honda CRX) could get 45-50 mpg and the new vehicles get significantly less.  I know they've changed the way they account for it just this year, but it is still a LOT less than it was back then.  People are getting all exited over a car that gets 33 MPG when my camaro got 30 when I got it.  Big deal!  Show me into the 40s and 50s and I'll consider giving up a little safety.  Otherwise, forget it.  

I've been looking at all they hybrids and they advertise 30-40 mpg, but give you the base price, which doesn't include the hybrid engine, which is usually 3-6 grand more.  I feel I can purchase a lot of gas for 3-6 thousand dollars and have more power to show for it.

Bottom line is, I know the technology is out there to create more efficient engines and they aren't being produced.   :angry

Fallon is only an hour away from me, I'll let you know when we are in the market for a new truck.  My wife says I have to pay off the motorhome first.  :(
