I was going to get a factory one this morning, but it was running so bad I could only nurse it to Car Quest... I make it back home, and of course the one they sell me won't work... and by this time I've removed the old one and dorked up the gasket... the old Blazer won't even move out of the driveway right now...

I used to have pretty good luck with Car Quest parts... but it seems like they are about 50/50 on things working the first time lately... :beat  I haven't bought any parts there other than oil and filters for about a year now... looks like I'll have to go back to that policy...  :rolleyes

I have to say latly I have had better luck with the Autozone @ warner and Cooper than the Checker right accross the street from it.

As for parts stores, I try to stay away from the "overhaul in a can" stores (CSK, Autozone, ect...).  But the more professional oriented brand chains, like Car Quest, have really slid down hill in the last couple years in terms of quality.  Probably because most of their parts are Hencho en China now, where as they used to be Made in the USA... at least you can still get Wix filters and Ashland Oil there...

Thanks to Al Gore and the internet, I can order most OEM stuff at less than the parts counter guys charge... when I have the time...  :good

I been using NAPA lately. :good  It seems that they are pretty knowledgeable. They can even cross refrence some of my boat parts that I need. :jumpie  :good
