What happened to the site totay, I tryed this morning and when I got off work all  I got was the icon board. :stupid

I started to have Withdrawals as I couldn't  :comp  :comp  :comp ! :cry  :laugh

I haven't received an official report from the host yet, but extremely bad whether (a tornado or two) in Texas had something to do with it I believe.

Even though the server was running, some of the processes on it were not.  The error we all saw here was the message board software stating that it couldn't connect to the database as all the mySQL databases on the server were down.  It had nothing to do with the board software itself.

I don't know if you noticed or not, but the ads were down, too, as they are, also, run by a mySQL database.  The message board on elks1475.org was down as well.

As the process for me to log in through a browser and fix things was down, I called host support.  It was busy everytime.  When I finally got through, I was 20 in line to be helped. :beat Since I was at work, I didn't have time to wait.

Once the databases came back, the time was off, but I was able to fix that myself just a few minutes ago. :)

Well it's a good thing many us have the board bookmarked, because I just realized the the main index page for havasudoug.com is out of commission. :break  That will have to wait until I get home to fix.  It will be sometime tonight. :)

it was funny I clicked on this site and it started loading and redirecting to all kinds of stuff....then it ended on www.digikey.com, funny I used that site all the time when I was working in San Diego, why it ended up there I have no Idea, glad it's back up :D

This has NEVER happened before and I think it's just toooooooooooooo coincidental for this to happen at a time when I couldn't get through by phone to host support, couldn't log in to handle things myself, and have a "ticket" open for over 24 hours without any acknowledgment whatsoever.  I think that there were some serious hacking done yesterday and the host has their hands full dealing with it. :eek
