Spent my formative years in the desert (Eagle Mountain, CA), frequented Havasu during that time, and even lived in Havasu for a short while, and while LHC has grown and changed since then, I'd still have to say that LHC is a helluva lot better place to live and raise a family than 95% of the rest of the country! The schools are excellent (on average, probably a year or two ahead of Cali), the crime rate has increased over the decades but is still lower than the national average for a city of that size(and most crimes are of an "opportunistic" nature, aka: stolen items from boats, stereos,CDs, etc.), and while it's been awhile since we stayed there for any length of time, the LHC CC was always sponsorin' events, mostly throughout the week, for the community. Mind you that much of my input is "dated", but if I could, I'd move back there in a heartbeat! But whoever told you to have a job waitin' for you before you move there is right on! Good payin' jobs are at a premium out there and difficult to attain due to the fact that most employers in the area are extremely loyal to the "long term" residents. ie: if you're up for a job alongside an applicant with a few more years of residency.....I think you get the picture. Still a great place to raise a family, IMO! "My lifestyle determines my deathstyle!" -Metallica
