Sorry to here that. My Mom and Dad have had some close calls over the past few months and it hit me pretty hard

Thanks... I wish my dad and I were closer. At least I got 2 see him 1 last time before he died. Now I am dealing with all the family drama and greed.

Lost both my folks semi-recently and I know full well about all the "aftermath drama"........

All I can tell you is to just survive, get though it, and don't be too hard on yourself for not being "perfect".

I know, words are pretty useless at times like these, but just knowing you have friends to lean on really helps.

Oh, and it does get better with time.....

I've lost both my parents (Dad in '97; Mom in '04) and while time doesn't heal your pain that you're feeling right now, it will diminish with your memories of better times. God bless you and yours.

So sorry to hear about your fathers passing Heather. My condolences. I recall your posts about going to see him and all that, within that timeframe my mother had passed too. I know very much what you are dealing with, its only been 6 weeks for me. There's a big hole in my life. :cry

Belated condolences to you Ziggy.

I thought it hurt when I lost my Dad in '97, and it did. But when Mom passed, it damn near ripped my heart out. Dad and Mom were living in the midwest in '97, so I only got to see Dad every Christmas. Mom moved out here to Hemet, about 15 miles from me, so I saw her at least twice a week. I really miss our Tuesday night movie nights and our Friday afternoon lunch dates. After all this time, I still have a hard time NOT picking up the phone and calling her. :cry

But there are a whole lot of good memories that have gotten me through. :good

I know what you mean, brother. I lost my mom 4 months ago tomorrow. My brain has a hard to processing the fact that I can't call her so I end up dialing her number expecting her to answer...... very surreal feeling. :cry
