I just had to run this up the flagpole.......

I've had a bit of down time lately and we all know that equals surfing the Internet and maybe spending way too much time on eBay! :break

Among the countless things I've ordered recently was a small automotive trim part that I really didn't need.....it was just that I bought a similar part for my wife's car and really liked the way it looked. When I came across one for my car, I did the ol' "Buy It Now" and waited for my part to arrive. :love

Well, it came yesterday.....and boy was I disappointed. That soon turned to mild anger and then I got pissed. What I got was nothing more than a strip of 3M chrome trim tape in place of what should have been an aluminum trim part.

So I sent an email the the seller......I had to tone it down twice before sending. I also contacted Pay Pal and contested the transaction.

So guess what this scammer does? He refunds my money in full, not less shipping as I anticipated, before I even had a chance to return it!

A scam artist with integrity? WTF? :stupid

It's a fact of Life:

After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

No, don't have it. My mailman had just come by and I asked him if I could just do a "Return to Sender" or did I have to go to the post office. He said he'd return it no problem.
Then I got the email about the refund.

The tape was so stupid. I wouldn't have ever put it on the car, yet this bozo claims he sells hundreds to dealers! :stupid

But I did use the refund to buy a neat sticker for the Toyhauler... :laugh

I'm usually pretty hip to the scams...this was a fly buy purchase.....I didn't check feedback or anything.

I guess I needed a wake up call.

I've been pretty lucky on eBay. I should have an alloy wheel arriving today for my daughter's car. Saved $280 over what most on-line places wanted.

Yep, all you have to do is let your guard down once and you'll get bit!. There are good honest deals on there though, just have to be careful, I got a real good deal on my laptop!.. :good
