Well, da gig's employer looks to have done another 180* turn and are again talkin' like da gig's days are over with 'em. So da gig's gonna be irresponsible and take a week's vacation @ LBR before it all totally turns to $hit. Either we take it now or we lose the points; and da gig ain't givin' 'is points back w/o a "fight"! Now to the question. The whole Family's plannin' on goin' so with da gig rig not bein' large enough to accomodate a boatful of "widebodies", we're thinkin' of rentin' a pontoon boat for a day or so. Called Arizona Watersports and got some info (does not sound too bad at all), but got to thinkin' that maybe some of y'all know of a better source to rent from in LHC. Maybe someplace "under the radar"? Any help will be greatly appreciated. :good

First off, how do you lose points. Never heard of that before.

I don't know what the talk about "points" is, but if they owe you vacation hours, they have to pay you for those hours upon termination. It's the law here in CA.

With unemployment at the level it is, unless you have another job in your sites, you might be better off banking that vacation pay.

"David" got into Parker last night so I got him to run up to Havi for a phone # this AM. If the guys home, I'll have the number at 11:30, if not I'll get it next weekend. Nice poontoon cheap. :good

The points that da gig is speakin' of are accumulated points from our timeshare @ LBR. Between the economy suckin', family problems, da gig's and mrsgigs' surgeries, savin' points 'cause we have the timeshare up for sale, and the fact that there haven't been any openings @ LBR for us to use, we haven't been on a boatin' vacation since 8/2005. Can only use so many points towards the annual maintenance fees and can only roll over so many from year to year, so we either use 'em or lose 'em! Two bedroom "condo" fo 6 days @ Havasu rent-free. We can eat cheap and mrsgig has been workin' 'er butt off for over two years. da gig thinx he owes her some downtime.
As for the days we're lookin' to rent a pontoon; most likely Tue. or Wed. Shouldn't have too much trouble findin' a good deal. Just thought some of you might know of some "connections" to someone that's little known.
Got this covered w/o dippin' into the vacation check (which I will be getting) or depleting what savings are left and the bills are covered already. @ this point in time, either mrsgig takes some time off or da gig'll end up single! Hey! Wait a minute.....

Thanx TB. Hate losin' a job, but da gig was lookin' for a job when he took dis one.....If dis goes da way da gig thinx its gonna go, may be lookin' at some retraining into a new field @ y'alls' expense through EDD or maybe even, "HOLY $HIT!", permanent disability. :stupid

Yo Gig, got the number for the guy with the poontoon if your still going. He's actually raies his rates to $150 for half day or $200 for full day. If you get dates set, I could probably do better with Fun Time.
