Ran into... Becky got hit on the way to work... a guy ran a red light (in a small bus), hit another car, and the two of them slid into the BMW...

Becky if fine, if not achy and sore, which is the important stuff.

Our pristine 525i is probably a right off.  There isn't a straight piece of sheet metal forward of the doors, and one of the wheels looks like it's out of whack...  :beat  We're waiting for the insurance company to get an adjuster out to the house.

Dam Dude that sucks. Glad to here just the cars damaged. Take it to Watson if you need estimates or work done ask for Ed Gaffney. He's the manager of the Body Shop and he'll hook you up. But your right it doesn't take much to total out a Beemer parts prices are out of sight.

I honestly hope they total it.  The other vehicles hit the BMW right on the drivers side front tire/wheel, and pushed into the curb.  I'll be verrrry suprized if there isn't any suspension/stearing damage beyond the cosmetics.  

It still runs and moves under it's own power though.  I drove it into the garage after the tow truck dropped it off.

A good strike near the strut tower is often a killer, especially with one thats got a few miles/yrs on it.

I'm okay...thanks for asking. I'm more stiff than sore.  I'll be fine.

I feel terrible about the car though. Not exactly what we needed, but such is life.  of course, i'm driving this rental, one of those chevy aveos. It's like driving a golf cart! I miss the bimmer :(

I think we're going to look for another 5 series, or maybe an X3... we need the space to haul the dogs around.

I'm going to miss that 525 though... that was a fantastic car, especially considering it's age.   It held up well in the accident, all things considered.
