I don’t know about the River. I think that the Miller would be at the bottom by the end of the weekend. Last time I was there I was thinking about surfing the waves out in front of Roadrunner. You should come up to San Antonio with us.   :)

My theory goes something like this,

Twenty years ago our cities were filled with hard working people that wanted to better themselves and their children. They worked hard, kept their houses up, and obeyed the laws. At some point a small contingent of lazy law breakers moved into the neighborhoods. These people dealt drugs, let their houses fall into disarray, and committed crime. The good people of the neighborhoods decided to move out to the suburbs to get away from this crap and more lazy law breakers moved in to replace them. This kept going on for years until we have the urban wasteland we have now.


Hotboat has seen something very similar. All the good people have left or no longer post and we are left with a few diehards and a bunch of half witted morons. Sad really hotboat use to be a cool place. I wonder how long it will be until I have to move out of the suburbs (Doug’s place) because of the infiltration of crap.

Now how can you say that with guys like Trailer Park Cassanova posting?   His posts are always top notch, well written, and entertaining..  

Old Rigger is the same way, always there to help, and always top shelf.

I realize that not all of my posts are up for the pulitzers, but then again I few Hotboat as more of a "social" enviroment then a straight "tech" enviroment.

I have no problem with the social posting. If you look at the content of most of my posts you will see that they are mostly debates and social stuff. But I think that it has sunk to a whole new level. There are a few posters that will take any thread and no matter what the original topic turn the subject into Sex(anal, oral, bestiality, other), Swinging, or Lesbians.

These people do it for the attention the get from the mass of horney guys. Then when someone calls them on it they pitch a fit for more attention. I thought we all out grew this crap in kindergarten. Apparently some have not.

I will not disagree that there are still a lot of good people there. But think back a year ago and think about the people that you use to post with and enjoy and how many of them are still posting?

Oh I almost forgot…..Blow me bitch!   (Just Kidding everyone) :D

I am fairly new to the boat boards (6 months or so). Dougs was the first board that I visited and eventually the first board I posted on.

I can say this, the people here have always been good to me and I appreciate that.

I used to go to Hot Boat every day. Now only once a week or so. Hot Boat does have the volume of posts, but 50% of them are of no value to me. Just a waste of time. Here I read almost every single post and seem to get something out of all of them.

The best thing about Hot Boat for me was meeting the Scubas before they came over to Dougs. They are great people and I am glad they are over here now.

I look forward to someday meeting many of you from Dougs. :peace

I will get this out before things escalate into something unnecessary: I think you and Monique are really cool people and you are not the ones that I am referring to.

Why am I so judgmental? I don’t really know why. I have always been bothered by stupid and immature people. I can’t really say why. The attention whoring really gets to me for some reason; when someone posts in a thread for no reason but to say “Look at me” I think that I find it insulting to the person that started the thread.

I have chosen not to post much if at all over at hotboat because it has become something I don’t care for. I am not trying to change things over there I am just voicing my opinion.
