Thank you for the feedback on our partner, Vessel Assist Lake Havasu, we appreciate comments from boaters.
On a seperate note, we just lowered our price in Havasu to $59 per year. It is unlimited and it covers you on any fresh water lake and river nationwide.
Thanks, Heather Warmington Vessel Assist AVP Towing Dept. HWarmington@boatus.com
My guess is that if you don't boat in the ocean, this would be the way to go.
Check your Insurance company. I know I'm covered with State Farm. Plus, I usually boat with my buddy who has Sea Tow since he fishes Catalina just about every other week. |
Lowered price to $53 as printed on the Vessel Assist boats. Keep boat in Havi, so no salt. Vessel Assist nor Sea Tow covers buddy's boat. Lots of way around that though, like switch boats. Still can't see how Sea Tow can charge 3 times as much. My insurance covers tows up to $300. Gotta pay then wait for reinbursment check. |
We were at the sandbar once and one of the boats in our group had a problem and had to be towed down to Havasu. My buddy called Sea Tow and when they got there he told him the boat was his and they towed it, no problem.
He was told that any boat he is skipper of is covered...rental, borrowed, didn't matter. |
They'll pretty much tow anything your on. You can't call them and say my buddies boat broke and I want you to tow it. Last trip I towed a new Magic from Steamboat to Windsor. If it had been a buddy vs a complete stranger, I would have just switched boats with him and made the call. "Damn you sure know how to fock things up."-GFR
