This just in ...........

An F-18 went down in a residential area in the University City area of San Diego not far from Miramar Air Station.  Witnesses reported at least one pilot ejected and possibly a second.  Amatuer video was shot, but I haven't seen it yet.

That isn't and won't happen. At the worst, family can file wrongful death civil suit again US gov't. Worst thing to the pilot is he has to live with this accident in his mind forever. Pretty heavy burden to pay.

If that was my family of four in that house, I would make sure an complete investigation was done.  And the guy, if guilty,  was sent threw the wringer.

They just showed the man who lost his family on the news (wife, 2 young kids, and mother).  He said he doesn't blame the marine pilot.
