Truck broke, oven broke, phone broke, electric blanket broke, septic backed up and Jeff burned his hand last night.

I know I should be thankful nothing serious happened, like car accidents or sickness, but it still sux!

Burned his whole right palm. Most was so callused that it just melted the calluses and he can't open it all the way.  He received a blister about the size of a quarter on the soft fleshy part between his thumb and forefinger.  Makes it tough to grasp anything.

Just found out one of my best friend's dad passed away on my birthday.  :(  I shared many a tequila bottle around a campfire with him.  He had battled an illness for a long time.  One of those who get sick within 6 months of retirement.  Just finished building their dream retirement home at Lake Havasu (avid fisherman, competitions and such).  Retired after something like 30 years CA Forest Service.  Then finds out his involuntary system is quitting.  Blood pressure drops, etc.  He'd been struggling with it for about 5 years and even went out of the country for experimental treatment a couple of years back.

Godspeed Clark Harvey. :(
