Slow my ass, I seen it run!.
Steve, if you're looking for top end power the square ports are the way to go, especially since you have the intake setup already. Aluminum or iron?, that depends on a few things, if you want to save weight, aluminums are half the weight as irons, aluminums don't retain heat like the irons do though, and the aluminums are a lot more expensive. With what you have, a set of 990's with 2.25IN and 1.88EX, clean up all the sharp edges, gasket match the ports and you could have 600HP easy. That cam is a little small though and with a 108 centers, you are losing compression from the overlap. If you plan on staying with low compression, I would use a cam with 112 centers but I would recommend stepping up the compression a bit regardless....Hope this helps....
