| Quote (jordanpaulk @ Mar. 23 2004,7:54 pm) | OK, after I crawled back under there with a fresh perspective and a prop puller, it's actually only 1/2" or so back from the prop strut.  Amazing how easy it came off with the prop puller.  I'm going to run the prop down to Bergeron and see what Brian and Phil have to say about it and go from there.
I had it out on Sunday and it really seemed to run wet.  It was rather choppy, but if I put the cav plates down it would just about bury the nose in the chop.  Water would break up over the bow.  All the way up it never really seemed loose.  I know it's heavier and not prone to fly like a 19' flat bottom.  I could really notice a difference in the plates but it seemed to have much more down than up. |
Jordy, if the prop is only a 1/2' away from the strut that's cool!.. You said the prop is all dinged up, that will screw up the ride big time, sounds like the plates are responding though which is good! Is there a name on the prop??. Bergeron is not a prop man, he would just send it out to get the dings taken out and take all your $$$$$$$$. If there's a name on the prop, I'd send it to them and get it checked and repaired and try it and see what happens. If there's no ID on it, I would send it to Kindsvator, he's been around forever and knows his shit and he will make sure that it's right!..
