What is the difference between low rise, and high rise valve covers? Is it purely asthetic, or are there performance differences involved here?

Also, what is a good oil pressure to be running on a 454 BBC? I am usually running around 60.

Thanks!!! -DD Out

The difference is exactly what it says, low or high!..You need tall valve covers if you use a stud girdle and exotic valvetrain components that take up room, otherwise you don't need tall ones, they have nothing to do with performance!... :D

If you have a fairly stock motor and not zinging the motor, 60lbs is more than adequate!.. :good
