OK, I have a little problem. I'm building a new motor for the pick-up and I need a new crank (actually a whole new rotating assembly). I was going to build a 427 (3.76" stroke), but I can't find a crank that doesn't cost a small fortune. GM still makes one, but it is a one piece rear main, and I have a two piece.
I have found a couple of the overseas (i.e. china or taiwan) cranks, but I question the reliability. If I can't find a good crank in a few weeks, I'm going to change directions and build a 454.
I was looking at Ohio Crank, but I suspect those are foriegn made also. Any suggestions on a manufacturer? A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.
