OK, so I'm surfing for timing sets for the FE and I was checking out good ole E-bay to see what was available.
I found this ad for Rollmaster timming sets
Rollmaster
So I did a little search and alot of the big engine builders use these. They are Aussie made. Any feedback on these?? The look trick and use billet steel for the sprockets.
OK, next question.
I took the rocker arm assy. apart the other day to clean them up. There is some wear on the shafts, but nothing a little polishing won't cure. I was looking at the stands and was thinking about changing them out. I found an ad for billet aluminum stands.
Billet stands
This guy also lists adds for billet spacers (which I'm going to run something like that and ditch the springs between the rocker arms), as well as new rocker shafts themselves, and billet end caps. I would guess these parts help on high-reving motors as it looks like the stock parts can move quite a bit under heavy loads.
So, my FE experts here at HD's... you think I am on the right track, or should I keep shopping??
Oh yeah, I'm going to splurge and go with E-brock heads for the boat, my old ones ended up cracked and it would cost damn near what new heads cost to fix them. A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.
