OK.. So now that people are saying that they are getting a stricter on noise levels, I decided to go out and look for some mufflers for my thru transom exhaust.. But guess what they are all either sold out or not really mufflers....

Anyone know where I can find some that are in stock???

Those are the ones... But not only are they outta stock, but they are $800.00... Anyone know what the design looks like on the inside. I might just throw a design in the laser and make some for myself? And others that are in need, for a cheep price!

Nope but I tool your guys advice and bought a radio shack db meter, and I am going to try it wednesday... But im pretty sure I am way over...

Remember, the Marina is not the law... There are pages and pages of posts over on Hotboat about the marina's sound checking/launching policy...

From what I've read, the problem is that their equipment isn't calibrated, they test against a wall (the sound echos back), there are other boats and ambient noise around, and it's never consistant how they administer the test.

They have turned away boats that have passed the legal requiremant, so don't feel bad, you're in good company.

Rex can send you the specs if you need them. They are very specific on how to take the readings. I threw a tape measure and the db meter into a zip-lock plastic bag that will go into the tool box.

I wonder if Mr. Dick Head will be in Needles in April? :stupid

Those guys seem pretty cool there, as long as we keep it cool on the weekend and don't start before 7am everything is cool!..In fact sometimes they come down at lunch time and kick back on the peak and watch the action!. :good

We got the impression that there was some kind of step-up in inforcement. One other place was checking pipes, but just for spark arrestors...thats no prob.

I've never had any issues at all with the peeps at Needles Marina....even when the kids raided the jacuzzi! :good
