Its going to be hard for me to take all the gas I need for this weekend at Apache. I was going to take octane boost along with my 2 stroke oil and prob mix one batch with the Apache lake gas. I wouldn't be gettin on it with that gas in the tank but Im still not sure. Anyone have any advice for/against??
Oh yea the motor is a 2.4 EFI Bridgeport Merc.

You don't have oil injection on the bad boy???

I don't know about Apache, but most marina gas in general is usually pretty questionable quality wise. We always took 4 or 5 five gallon can's and filled them up at a filling station somewhere. An additional 20 gallons alway seemed to get us through a weekend. (My family had a boat with a 200 hp Black Max on the back).

No oil injection. I just figure if I carry it in the boat its going to end up all over the place by the time I get to the marina. If you go out there messing around agn this weekend look me up I'll be in the rv park at the marina.

I haven't run marina gas for a long time never had good luck with the stuff, I don't think they take care of their tanks worth crap!. :stupid

So I fill up at home and take some jugs with me and just get some local if I need more!.. :good

Right on! I'll see what I can work out and I guess I'll fill those tanks at Roosevelt. Apache is sweet but I dread the road in (if the road was better everyone in Az would be there).

True dat

One of the reasons I really never run high compression motors is so I can run marina gas. Used to haul 55 gallon drums for long weekends back in the 70's but that was when gas was $1.25 a gallon at the marina. Now at $3.00 a gallon I'll just buy it there :beat

Well how about $2.50 in town for 91 octane (thats what I need). My buddy flaked out on the trip so I prob won't end up skiing now (less gas). I have 36 gal in the boat and I'll an extra 10 and call it good. That will prob end up being more than enough.
