I have a coworker that has a '2000 Alpha Gen II drive with 20 hours and he gible is done.  They were told that it is due to the stinless prop there running(no Idea what prop). I haven't said anything but I'm guessing that it isn't the prop but the drive needs to be checked for alignment to the motor??
:stupid

Carbon Monoxide poisoning kills boaters.  Take the time to learn about it and how to avoid it.

I'm finding that the drive most definatly needs to have the alignment checked.  I'll need to have a talk with the owners of the boat monday.
