I am looking for a good Boat Mechanic in the So Cal area. I am currently going to ADM boatworks and am just not getting a solution to an issue I am having with my boat. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I have a 454 w/ a Dominator jet. Thanks for any info.

Try Quality Performance in Corona or Boats Plus in La Habra. I have heard a lot of good things about Quality performance, however Boats Plus does all my service and I am extremely happy with their service.

Hey Lasinc... i need to change out my trim pump mounts from steal (starting to rust) to some new stainless i have...
one on each side... i wonder how much something like that would run...

just to take the pumps and solinoids off the old metal and put it back on and screw them to the floor....?

i can do myself, maybe i just need to find some good stainless hardware and contort my body to get in the engine bay and do it myself...??? ahh whatever... boat upkeep. NEVER ENDS...

Sorry.......I can't help you with those boat issues :break

Someone else on the board may be more knowledgeable than I am when it comes to mechanical work on boats.

I work on my own cars, but when it comes to my boat I will pay the $$$$ to a certified service center so that way I can always blame them if other shit goes wrong. Plus i always have my Merc 6 year warranty.

right right.. i hear that... but stuff like the impellers and changing out the drive lube and oil, fuel filters and stuff is easy.... :drink

but when you have 2 of everything, 3 gallons of merc motor oil, and 2 gallons of performance drive lube....
checkin all them anodes, thrust washers, etc...
it takes a few hours to get er done... :beat

the trim pumps and electrical is that covered in your warranty? the trim cylinders may be... not sure.

who knows, that damn fine print...

I thought so too. I haven't taken it out since last year but the last time I did, I still had the same issue. Thats why I want to go to a new mechanic. I take it in to get fixed and get it back with the same problem going on.
