Okay, I feel fortunate that I havent had the need till now to find a Jet Mech Tech. I hear y'all talking about MPD? My Jet is sounding and working well but she is taking on a bit of water. Suggestions? Boat lives in Castaic but I will take it to Costa Mesa if I have to.

Guy across the street has a big cabin cruser in his back yard. Came ove one day to borrow a water pump. Just had to ask what for. 10 years of rain water. Why didn't you just pull the plug. What plug? Went over and pulled it for him. Damn thing dumped water for 3 days. Then he asked if I'd be willing to help his son get it ready to take to the river the following weekend.

Could be leaking either from pump to intake and intake to hull, maybe both, fitting on the pump for water to the motor, anything that passes through the hull, several things to look for! :stupid

Leave it on the trailer when you back down the ramp and just let the transom sit in the water.....look for leaks with out the engine running. Take your time. Start engine, repeat.

Sure, for the big leaks you just let it fill then pull it out and get under it. much faster than filling with a hose.
