Well I made the first step of dong the shift cable chsnge. Got the drive off and inspected the Gimle. Gimble is in GREAT shape!!

I like your drive stand BD :good  When I rebuilt the drive on my old boat I told myself I needed to make one... Well it's like 4 years later and nope still no stand :sleep If I get the stereo project done tomorrow I will use up my extra plywood and get one made.

I bult that last year when I replaced the impeller in my boat and a friends. It sure makes it SO mauch easier to work on the drive. I can clamp the drive to it if I need to. I just used 5/8 wafer board and 1 2x4, A few screws and some left over carpet.  :good

Already Back Flushed....Didn't Find Anything......

Absolute flushed and back flushed mine 5 times and the things didn't move. Water was still flowing around them, just not enough.

Could be, easy way to tell is put it in a pot of water on the stove and see what it does, I always do that with new ones before installation, I've found quite a few that were junk right off the bat!.... I wouldn't run one in a boat though!...

Kinda Thinkin' It's The T-Stat Stuck.....

Could be, easy way to tell is put it in a pot of water on the stove and see what it does, I always do that with new ones before installation, I've found quite a few that were junk right off the bat!.... I wouldn't run one in a boat though!...
