I voted for Chevy Gas, but no new trucks.  My 85 3/4 ton with a big block and overdrive is my ultimate pullin' truck.  :D

Right on! :good My dually is a 73 and I wouldn't give it up for nothing!. :good What kind of overdrive you have in yours?..I'm getting ready to rebuild one for mine that I cooked a while back in my 86(my own fault) I sure liked it, got 17 mpg towing running 75-80 with a 454!... :good  :good

I'm going to buy my brothers NV4500 when he swaps it out for an automatic in his truck.   :good I've been after one of those for several years now.  

Oh yeah, I'm putting fool injection on it also.  :D

Never used one of those, they pretty stout!. :stupid I have an American Overdrive, it sure worked great with 4:88's!.. :good  :good

I'm thinking of fuel injection on mine too!.. :good  :good

Yeah, when it comes to manual overdrives for 3/4 and 1 ton pickups they can't really be beat.  Cheavy and Dodge formed New Venture to produce them in the late 80's.  They are all cast iron, have a granny first (my brothers is the GM ratio, which is 5.88:1, I think), and have a 75% overdrive.

Here's the cool part.  Since it's a GM tranny, I wont need any adapters (maybe a new bellhousing, but I've been told mine will work).  :good

The roofer doing my re-roof on my house right now has a 3/4T Chevy PU and had 2 Full Pallets of Composition shingles in his truck yesterday.  1 pallet is very heavy, but 2 in a pickup is unbelieveable! :good   I was astounded by the payload capacity of the truck.  Next one I buy will be a 3/4T Chevy :good

This mofo does not know the difference between uphill or downhill and it's comfort city towing, wouldn't trade it for nothing!. :good  :good BTW, "IF" something should happen to it I can fix it! :good The plan in the near future for it is a frame off resto with all the trick shit!.. :good  :good
