| Quote (shueman @ Jan. 06 2005,7:06 pm) | Since I know NOTHING about mechanical stuff, and readily admit it, I thought I'd ask the group about some minor upgrades on our tow vehicle.
It's a 2003 F-150 SuperCrew.  Looking for suggestions on aftermarket mufflers to help it breathe easier.  Also, would a K&N Air Filter be worth the expense?  Maybe tweak the suspension as well.
It's pretty much mama's car to run around town the majority of the time.  Any recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks! |
I have a 2002 F-150 with a 5.4 liter. I haven't done the full blown K&N filter kit yet, but I do use a K&N replacement filter in the meantime. I, also, put a Flowmaster on and with both improvements, have noticed a little better performance.
I did the same thing to my 1989 F-350 with a 7.5 liter.
I put too many miles on my F-150 in the 3 years I've had it so I'm driving the old truck alot now. It's a gas hog, but it's fun to drive.
