Hello All,

Just to let you know that during a night sometime next week, this server's operating system will be upgraded. Debian 5, the current version, is no longer being supported with security updates, so we will be upgrading to Debian 6.

The specific time frame will be posted next week.

As with all upgrades, glitches may arise. This is likely because I have highly modified this server to meet the needs of the sites on it.

If any glitches occur, I will work as fast as I can to get them resolved.  Also, please feel free to post any of your observations here just in case I miss them.

Thank you in advance for your patience. This is a necessary evil in the computer world.

UPDATE:

This has been scheduled for tonight at Midnight - 12:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time. I am off work tomorrow so hopefully it will be dialed in quickly.  :comp

UPDATE:

Well, the upgrade happened early this morning. There was one very minor glitch in the store that I fixed. A function in PHP code was deprecated in the new version of PHP. I have yet to see any other problems, though. Please let me know if you see anything.

You not noticing anything is a good thing, because I knew there would be a glitch someone. I'm happy there was only 1, to my knowledge, and I fixed it in the middle of the night.  :)
