OK guys,

It's time again for a new server.  This one is about 10 years old.  Even though I have upgraded operating systems a couple of times, the hardware is just too old and tired.

There WILL be glitches.  :break There always are, but I will work my hardest to fix them ASAP. :)

I have 3 domains AND a mail server on it and the other domains are paying for the service. The other domains should be a piece of cake, though.

I'll try to warn you when this will go down.

UPDATE:

I got the new server and am setting it up. I'm switching the other domains and the mail server first. It will be around a week before this one gets switched over. I will give you warning before I turn off the board, though.  :)

That was ugly.  :break Sorry.

This is the old server still. The new server is up and I have 1 domain on it. I just have to iron out a posting problem and the module that resizes images.

This old server broke yesterday and I got it fixed today.

Should be a few days before I even attempt to switch this one over. :rolleyes

UPDATE:

Still the old server, BUT I got a like message board working on the new one.  I need to configure the mail server next, but I'll keep you posted.  :)

The wedding got me sidetracked......

UPDATE:

We're on the new server, but there is plenty I have to still take care of.

As far as the board goes, it works, but I'm still uploading a 2.3GB tar file of every attached image from the last dozen years.  After that is uploaded and extracted, you'll see your images.

I have to renew the certificate for the store and I've started that process.

I still have to do all the non-board content and ad program.

So this site is on a virtual server on a virtual server on a virtual server.  This makes it scalable in every way.

I've cranked up the CPU and increased the number of CPU cores.  The goal is to do this without increasing my monthly bill. It is much faster, now. If my bill doesn't change, we can keep it with these settings.
