OK. It's 2 days before Christmas, and it's out of control in the supermarket.  That's a given though.  A guy requests from the Front End Manager to see me, only cuz my pic is on the wall. He has an apple that has a few bites missing and he wants me to identify it as coming from our store.  I said "I couldn't tell you.  It's an apple.  The same one's that they sell at every other supermarket around". "If you're asking for a refund though, NO PROBLEM :) ".  He, then, tells me his story.  He needed to know the source of the apple, cuz evidently some kids had thrown it at his house.  He got their description AND LICENSE PLATE NUMBER!  He wanted my direction on what to do.  HUH? :confused  I said "If you have property damage or you want them prosecuted, I suggest you call the police and file a report". He still felt like we were liable in some way and insisted I take the license number.  I said "OK, there's nothing we can do with it.  The crime is against you, not us, but I'll take this description and post it on the wall for every other manager to see."  All this while the store was out of control 2 days before Christmas! :D

I use to work at a feed mill when I was younger. One of the things that we sold was hay. One day I loaded about 15 bales of hay on a guys truck and told him that he should tie it down. We were not allowed to tie down customers loads due to insurance liability. Well he tied it down and was off.

About a half an hour later a guy comes in and starts yelling at me because his wife got hit by a hay bail when she was riding her bike. Apparently the guy that bought the hay was doing about 100 down the road and a bail flew off and hit the lady's bike.

Now for some reason this guy thought it was my responsibility because I sold him the hay. I informed him that it was stacked properly and tied down when it left and I had no control of how the customer drives.

He still insisted that it was my fault and I needed to do something. I remember telling him to Fu*k Off after about an hour of his badgering.

Fortunately his wife was not hurt only scared.

Miller is referring to a couple that I personally house sat for a couple of years, why? I have no idea...they were nice enough, but I'd like you to know they were very 'interesting'

I was told that their birds needed 3 ounces of special water two times a day (they had their fridge stocked with baby food jars of this 'special' water measured out 3 ounces each) they had about 7 goats...and special instructions on how to 'brush' the goats each night before putting them to bed. and they had about 50 cats...which also had interesting feeding directions. In fact, I have a slight scar on my forehead from crashing into the corner of that freak'n bird cage :angry (they had to move it outside for a specific amount of time and I didn't see it outside...wack...caught me right in the temple...that was painful)

Look at me...I'm a rambler...WOW...well point being: everyone beats to their own drum...but some drums are deffinately off beat.  :rotflmao

I've grown rather fond of it.  It's even on the display of my cell phone, and I didn't put it there.   :)   On a different note, the girl that did later turned into a lesbian after dating me...   :confused  :confused  :confused   I think she had the tendencies long before though, I just closed the deal for her.  :D :D :D
