Actually it's very clean. Might have even been done for car shows but $12K, it's still just a buggy. I'm going to look at a mini boat today that I've been seeing in a guys backyard. He's got an old Manx parked next to it. :eek

Since you guys are kinda on the right track this pic is where I'm heading with this project.
So yes, the pan was the key ingredient for me. A legal and licensed pan to build off of.
I'd kinda gotten an itch to find an old bug to fix up and use as an around town car, then I got to thinking that's another parking spot I need, etc. So now I decided to have that street legal car and my play toy for the dunes all wrapped in one.
My sandrail is for sale, nothing special. Older Chenowth 4 seater frame with a DP 1600 stock motor.

Cool bug, I like where your going with this. I have two Meyer's Manx's buggy's One is Blue and needs redone and the other is Black but org. a lime green color :rolleyes

that run and drives, I have a ball with this thing, But I doing a street build on both of these.
