Yep, you screwed up there, they're getting harder and harder to find, and they don't get any cheaper either!.. |
Theirs a Manx over at Inland boats. A few chrome pieces here and there with a nice paint job. $12,000. Somebody is nuts over there. |
If it's clean sounds about right, when I do see em they're junk and they want $5000 for the damn things!. I keep hoping to run across one sitting in someones back yard and they don't know what they're going for, but that's like a needle in a hay stack!.. Â |
Actually it's very clean. Might have even been done for car shows but $12K, it's still just a buggy. I'm going to look at a mini boat today that I've been seeing in a guys backyard. He's got an old Manx parked next to it. |
I agree, plain ole bugs aren't cheap either if they're clean!.. Bet he won't sell the Manx, he'll give you ole saying "one of these days I'm gonna restore it"... |
Are you looking for a "real" manx or some sort of clone body? . Since you guys are kinda on the right track this pic is where I'm heading with this project. So yes, the pan was the key ingredient for me. A legal and licensed pan to build off of. I'd kinda gotten an itch to find an old bug to fix up and use as an around town car, then I got to thinking that's another parking spot I need, etc. So now I decided to have that street legal car and my play toy for the dunes all wrapped in one. My sandrail is for sale, nothing special. Older Chenowth 4 seater frame with a DP 1600 stock motor.
