Pretty cool stuff. But I'm going to have to run with what I have. I have sunk a lot into the truck to fix it and still needs to have more done. I still have to cut the carpet out and have the bonding put on then snaps. Not sure what the bonding  is going to cost. Snaps are going to be about 40 for both sides and then a tool to install them. BARG!!!! If it ainte one thing it's another.  :rolleyes   :banghead

Finally got the carpet cut out and tossed it in the boat for fitment. Looks pretty good. So now  to find someone to put the edge on. I think we are going to try to get something the same grey possibly a little lighter. A darker grey I don't think will look right. Also need to get snaps. Going to replace both sides. Ones in the floor are looking pretty bad.

Picked up Snaps for the carpet and a setting tool. just need to get a hole punch to make the hole easier in the carpet. Replacing all of the ones in the floor as well. Their pretty bad looking. Will be dropping the carpet off to have the edging sewed on sometime this week. On a time crunch now to get it ready in 1 month.   :eek

I need to find a way to clean up the staining from the old carpet. It has stained the fiberglass pretty good. I can get most of it but there are spots that I can't get. I used Simple green and that seemed to do pretty good on getting the bulk of the dirt up, but doesn't get the black spots up. Been using the ski hold door as a guinea pig since I can get it out of the boat easy.

Pretty hard to get stain out fiberglass since it goes right into it, I'll have to ask the wife what she would use, she used some stuff on mine once and it worked pretty good. :stupid

Cool!! Yea I'm open to suggestions. Right now I think I'm going to get the worse of it up and get the boat ready for D.S. then deal with it later. Carpet is easy enough to remove

Well, guess she used it all up couldn't find any and she couldn't remember the name of it, but I asked a couple people that leave their boats in the water what they use either of these from West Marine, supposed to take the nastiest $hit off and don't hurt the fiberglass, might be worth looking into??.. :stupid

I think for now due to time, I'm going to have the girls take some good O'l soap and water and give it a good scrubbing so I can get the carpet in this Sunday. I'm looking to pull it out Thursday evening and turning them loose. As it is now I don't know if I'm going to get shake down time before D.S.. Looking to get out EARLY wed the 3rd and drop it in when we get there and run the crap out of it then. I don't foresee any issues but you never know.  ;)

I hope so. Every time I turn around something comes up to do. The 15th we are in tucson for races. This weekend we have a gathering to be at Saturday and a meeting for next weeks races sunday. That leaves the weekend of the 22nd & 23rd. 29th and 30th is cutting it a little thin if there is an issue to square it away and get everything cleaned up for the trip. Can't travel to this with a dirty truck and boat.   :laugh   :D

I'll pull it out thursday evening and have the girls do a quick scrubbing inside friday morning. Then I will start in on the carpet/snap install friday evening and do what I can Saturday and Sunday morning if not done friday evening. I hope to be done Saturday Morning. I have about 40 snaps to set and to replace in the floor.

I have about 10 more snaps to go. 4 in the ski hold door and 6 in the floor for the main section. Should be finished up Sunday morning. 2 things. Have plans this afternoon and my knees are killing me from kneeling on the carpet. Started to kneel on a towel but the damage for the day had been done.   :beat
