I hear ya!!! I hate to work in half lit places. Looking to see what I can do outside the garage in the driveway and on the side of the house where the boat will be.

Well since the temps are dropping and the sun is dropping earlier every evening. I decided to pull one of the sheets of paneling off the wall in the office. This is not going to be fun!!!! The glue looks like it's going to be a biotch to get off the walls. Also the walls are a light baby pastel looking blue. Not sure how I'm going to get the glue off. I may just scrape what I can off with out gouging the walls and sand them quick, then do a primer to cover the blue and any left over glue, then paint them semi gloss white. There are a few holes that I will need to patch as well before sanding. Nothing big but paint will not fill. well at least under the one panel I removed.

That stuff is a btch to get off, could try a heat gun to soften it a bit, but I think it would be easier and quicker to just sand the $hit out of it, put a good window fan in and let it blow the dust out, or most of it anyways..

Saturday I was able to get 2 stumps out of the yard that were bush's on the north side of the drive way. Once I got them out I took out a bunch of thorny bushes that were along the side of the garage. All of these will have to go to concrete where I want. Talked to CE yesterday and got Ideas on what block to be gathering for the wall and posts for the gates. Also whats needed to do the concrete. Still need to cut this big a$$ pine tree down in the front yard. Been looking at portable lifts to rent to get it done.

I hope so. It's nice to be able to do things and not worry about someone getting pissed off. If I don't like it. BAM its out of here. OR I want something, I'll do it. All going to take time and plans will change. Bottom line It's mine to deal with.

Yes it is, I remember when we got our first house, that was the greatest feeling and best of all not lining some else's wallet.

Spent most the weekend in the office filing 2017 stuff that I hadn't done and getting 2018 files ready. Found a bunch of old stuff to shred. Went to Lowes and picked up a light kit for the fan in there so I could see what I was doing. With the cloud cover it was pretty dark in the office. I can see what I'm doing now. I was able to eliminate 2 boxes of crap. Goal is to slim down the stuff to hopefully make room to be able to work on the walls better and be able to move around in there.

I hear ya. Couple years ago my office had one of them trucks show up that does shredding. I took 5 nice size boxes that I was looking at having to do. They took the boxes and dumped them in the hopper and made a pile of confetti out of it for free. Handed me the empty boxes and off I went.

I do the same. Anything with our name on it, it feeds the shredder. I took the shredder we have and pulled the top part off and made a board to set on a 30 gal trash can. Fitted the shredder head to the board and put a big trash bag in the can. Now we can shred a LOT before having to stop and empty the can. Unlike the little bucket it was on.

Been looking at going solar. I think I'm going to take the jump. With just the 3 of us in the house should be dirt cheap on what power we will use.
