No Craig we are farther north of the levee breaks. The ones you are thinking about are more down toward Hud. The bypass's don't start until you almost get to Colusa. The water we get actually comes over the side where there are no levees.
If you look at the top pic, sticking out of the clouds is the north side of the Sutter-Buttes. The other pic in the background is Oroville.

Your up in my dads neck of the woods, he's in Yuba City. It cracks me up he's like 100 ft above sea level. Highest hill close by is around 900ft tall. He had some scary flooding about three years ago. was about 1 hour from evacuation. I think my bro went to Sutter high school.

Yep... Yuba City is about 45 min south of me. My mom, aunt, and grandparents survived the flood from the 50's. We used to find chunks of dirt in the attic from that flood. The whole house was underwater and they lived in a high part of town.
