Well, I don't get down there too much to hang out, but Pacific Beach has some awesome bars. Hooters, Moondoggies and Pacific Beach Bar & Grill are all within walking ( or stumbling) distance of each other. For the best steak dinner I would say "The Hunter" in nearby Carlsbad. I think it's right where the 78 and 5 meet. Can't help you with hotels, I'm afraid.

I know Mandelon lives in the area, as well as Ziggy and I think RiverDave also. Â If they pop in here, I'm sure they will be more help.
When is your trip?

Did you know they built that island for the world's fair in the early 1900s?
Sorry, the history nut strikes again.
