Just returned last night from Crested Butte, had fricken great skiing conditions. Two days of great skiing, perfect weather and fluffy groomed snow.
Snow pack was tremendous...and this area is our supply of water. Flying over the rockies from Denver to Gunnison there was barely a place where there wasn't snow coverage, could it be enough to help stop the loss of levels? We can only hope it really helps. :good
Funny, our shuttle driver from Gunnison to the resort also is the mayor...very knowledgable of local lore. This is the greatest amount of snow in 10 years he said. This area is about 25 miles west of the devide.

If it keeps snowing... yes, it'll help...  :good  All that snow flows into the Colorado River.  Good news for us.

Glad you had a good time at the Butte...

With the Upper Basin at 125% or more above average, it's a GOOD START to recovery.

Just need another 10 years or so like this to bring back the high levels to Powell & Mead.   :eek

Not to hi-jack, but the Terra site is pretty cool... :good   You can follow the river from Hoover all the way down to Yuma... :beer

I found a FULL COLOR site, but they want something like $30 a month to access it... :eek....more for geological studies, and regularly updated...
