I saw that over on Hotboat.... that sucks.

Pins in bones always seem to haunt people... i.e. pain when weather or temp changes, ect... If the doc isn't 100% on putting you under the knife, I'd just let it heal on it's own.   :good

I've got a pin in my left shoulder from a similar injury..although I believe less severe(broken clavicle and AC separation).  If I had it to do over again I'd have opted to wear a sling for awhile and call it good as opposed to getting cut up.  Sorry man, but either way it's going to suck :beat
Hopefully you injured the non-dominant arm :stupid  Hope you have a speedy recovery and the pain is manageable :)

I have recieved both bad and good news  :bebe

I have a severe break, the bone broke at an angle, more of a splinter break in a few locations

90% of the time they just let them heal, I am am at the other 10%.  They took new x-rays and wanted to see if it looked better than last Sunday.  No significant changes  However, because of the swelling and not an emergency needed in the repair.  The Dr. wanted to wait two more weeks, take new x-rays and see if the bones come together.  If not he may need to do surgery where the install a plate along the toop of the shoulder and screw into the broken bones.

So we will cross our fingers, not bones
