I've seen those guys, or someone doing the same thing.  The problem is they want $50K plus for a truck that is a couple years old with 70K miles on it.  Granted it's one way to get a Duramax in a 'burb, but personally I think I'd just wait or do it myself.  Simple body lift and a engine/tranny swing, and it could be done a whole lot cheaper if you have any mechanical inclination at all.   :good

They originally talked about '06, but who knows.  The holdup is the Allison not fitting in the tranny tunnel of the 'burbs as they are setup now, not to mention the shortage that would likely be created trying to add 2 more models to the Duramax line up.

I don't know why they don't just put a 2" body lift on it and be done (that's how they clear in the HD trucks).  Orders would be through the roof and there would be a lot of excursions on the used car lots.  :D

one thing i noticed about that burb was the light duty 3/4ton rear end.Wonder how long it will last if driven hard.(same rear as the non hd2500 6.0L)
