Once in a while I'll go play golf at his resort place in Escondildo, the Fountains course is a tough somebitch for being a exec course. :angry  1st hole you gotta carry water all the way to the green :(

I'm 33 and all I know about LW is the golf resort in the Coachella Valley. Can't say I remember the show. Do have memories of EMERGENCY and SWAT though

I'd see him driving in Santa Monica from time to time.
His license plate was:  A 1 an A 2.
Though he was a multi millionare, he drove a tired Pontiac.

LW and his dad discovered the Lennon sisters when they were performing at the Santa Monica Elks. The haven't performed as originals in decades.
Their daughters double for them on stage. Ocassionally two of the sisters will sing.

All bandleaders are SOB's.
Though his orchestra was called the "Champaign Music Makers", he fired Pete Fountain because he drank.

My Great Grand Mother loved his show.
A BFD in the midwest and Northern states when I was a little kid, and it was over the top cornball even then.
