Well, gas prices are going through the roof once again and since we're getting ready to take a long trip in 10 days, figured I'd pass along some gas price info.
When checking through Gasbuddy.com it looks like the city that we live in, Woodland, CA has the lowest prices in California @ $2.05 gallon :good  :jumpie   and the Chevron in Needles on Needles Highway has the highest @ $2.79 gallon
All them folks fixing to head towards the water down south better fuel it up now....
Anyway, since we are driving to Idaho on March 26, it is nice to see that the gas prices there are about $.20 per gallon less than they are here.  Washington and Oregon are about $.10 less.
Why is it that California always has the highest prices when we have so many refinerys?  It's because our State government decided that they need to tax our taxes on fuel.  What are the taxes for that we pay for registering our vehicles? (Again, the highest in the nation)  We pay registration taxes for the Government to fix the roads, but then we also pay gas taxes to fix the roads???? :angry   They are taxing our taxes on taxes here! :angry  :angry   Man I can't wait to move to Idaho! :good  :jumpie

Just bitc#ing a little here.  I also drive about 700 miles per week on my job in my own vehicle so the gas prices are hitting my wallet pretty hard :angry

Hey BBT, have a safe trip. :good  I just ordered some stuff that's supposed to significantly improve the way fuel burns and improves mileage.....NO its NOT a magnet or anything like that.
But I will get back to you and let you know if it works. I gotta find something. I do the 600 + mile round trip to the river about twice a month once the season starts!

And its funny how the gas in Needles is always the highest! Roll down the road a couple of miles into AZ and the Arco is usually .20 - .40 a gal. cheaper. :stupid

Diesel fuel in San Diego is going from $2.35 to $2.65 a gallon. :angry It really pisses me off that regular gas is cheaper than diesel now.

:beat  I know, I know....  Its hard to resist.  But my buddy and I figured out that cruising in my boat with a 502/jet at 40 mph we can make it 40 miles on a 20 gallon tank.  But at 62 or so I get 20 gallons to abt 10 miles if that...

when you floor it you watch the gauge go down...  Lucky I have two tanks

CLick on the link in my first post and check it out....
I did, and found that Lake Havasu City has the LOWEST gas prices in AZ, currently at $1.97 per gallon in some places, but at other places in LHC, it is ranked in the highest :confused .

Still alot of ca$h, but better than the $2.39 per gallon on Highway 60 in Wickenburg.

On top of all of that, the price for a barrel of oil hit an all-time high yesterday.  Don't expect to see gas prices going down anytime soon.  I wouldn't be surprised a bit to see the prices hit $3.00 per gallon soon. :angry
Gas prices here where I live are going up $.05-$.10 per gallon per day.  Tuesday I paid $2.05 per gallon, yesterday (wednesday) I paid $2.13 per gallon at the same gas station!
Time to break out the 200 gallon tank and fill it up.  Might even have to go fill up all of my 5 gallon gas cans.
I'm glad I'm not an independent truck driver.....The cost of Diesel fuel is just straight up UNBELIEVEABLE!!!  I'm sure that will have a trickle down effect on the prices at the stores.  Remember, if you bought it, a truck brought it.

I heard around $2.70 by summer, if this keeps up may as well use race gas, at least it will smell good!. :laugh
