The pencil was patented in 1858. Wow its 100 years older than me :D

I watched some Made in America show with Cliff from Cheers as the host and he did a thing on pencils, it was insane how many pencil the factory kicked out :banghead  :p

Kingsford Charcoal is mostly made from recycled "pencil slats", trimmings, etc.
