Terri Schiavo, the 41-year-old brain-damaged woman who became the centerpiece of a national right-to-die battle, died this morning, nearly two weeks after doctors removed the feeding tube that had sustained her for more than a decade. Brother Paul O'Donnell, a spokesman for Bob and Mary Schindler, Schiavo's parents, said the couple was with their daughter's body and praying.

Mabey this will be a step in the right direction for the right to die movement.I'll never understand the human race when it comes to this.We will put ahorse down for a broken leg,or our dogs for hip dispaysia to put them out of their missery. But we will make our loved ones live in agonizing pain for years because we don't want to let go.Go figure.

ABC news did a piece how the parents were getting rich off her plight. They needed to keep her alive to keep the enourmous cashflow coming in. Far far exceeding the cost of her care (which the husband handled for years) and they had no legal bills, it was done pro bono.
A pure cash cow for the parents.

Anyone giving the parents a donation, then , in turn had their name and address sold by the parents to soliciting agencies. They made a ton of money off that too.

The parents asked that no more flowers be sent, they'd prefer an "offering".

The parents have a long history of shams and scams.

Damfino, ABC made the husband look OK. All the accusations were convincingly proved fake. The parents were the hucksters in this scam.

Several religous figures that were leveling fake accusations against the husband were shown using different names over different issues. Kinda of  pay to play guys. Even the Dr hired by the parents that was going on talkshows stating she was "saveable" had a shakey past too.

I've had parents and grandparents we had to take care of for what seemed like ages. I never want my kids or anyone I love having to go through that,, and any court telling them they have to.

If the courts had stepped in in the Schivo case, it would have set a legal example that we'd all have to suffer from in the future.

I was keeping my mom alive in the same situation.
Some really kind, humble Menonite missionaries came through the hospital and told me my efforts were ruining the lives of my other loved ones, and me, and my marriage and to let my mom pass and move on.

Some of the best advise I ever got. Glad I followed it.
