I was at the river, outside the RV doing some stuff and 2 boys rolled up in a nice Golf Cart. Brutally handsome boys. They parked their golf cart and walked right up to me.

Damfino,, but does this sound like it their mom told them how to handle this?

The boys were good looking,, introduced themselves, and said they noticed, (or really couldn't help but notice is what they really said,) that I had a daughter their age,, and would it be OK if I introduced them to her?

Pretty good of them,, We don't have anything to worry about with the next generation.
2 teriffic kids.

wow... you are trusting!

I dont think I would let my daugther out of the house past 13 knowing the schemes that I pulled  :beat when I was younger to get past the parrents (and make them think I was an angel  :bebe )

I guess all you can do is teach her to be savy and hope

I've got two young daughters...one 13 the other 10. I'd have shot them on site! :angry

The 10 year old I'm not worried about, she kicks butt (literally) plays hardball with the boys...turned a perfect double play and hit a double and triple in Sunday's blow-out against the Hermosa Beach Red Sox. (Ok I'm done braggin';) :good

Exactly!

My daughter is 12 and the boys call all the time.  For now, she just rolls her eyes and has learned to walk out the door so I can say she just left without lying.  My favorite is when I can tell them she's at her Karate class. I'm sure the face on the other line looks like  :eek

When I pick up Megan from school, alot of the boys say "Bye Megan" when we are leaving.  Whenever I ask her about these guys, she gets mad at me. :angry  I know that she would rather talk to a woman about this stuff, but since I'm a single guy, I can't provide that with her.  A lot of the stuff I DO hear, though, are from my female friends that Megan has confided to.  :)

Just try not to tease her at all.  My parents used to tease me. "Is he your BOY-friend?" or "Ooooh, there's so and so." And they would talk about me with their friends in front of me and it was really embarrassing. I am my daughter's confidant (I think :laugh ) and she tells me a lot.  I am not one of those moms, however, who is best friends with her daughter.  I am mom first, listener and advice giver second.

You should watch those young gentlemen, asking a girls dad to hook them up takes pretty big balls. :peace

That's good to hear. :good  I've seen too many moms try too hard at being best friends and fail at their duties as a mom as a result. :(

It's not easy raising daughters. Especially being divorced, and having a phsycho for an ex-wife. Myself, I have 3 daughters, a blonde (16) a redhead (13), and a brunette (7), so I can relate to you peeps.   I spend at least 2 weeks a month with them,  I let them come over whenever they want, and go pick them up when they call. So far so good, they're all great kids.  Boys around every corner though :( .

They struct me as very nice boys. They handled themselves well.
They've now become friends with my girl.
When a unexpected, super brutal windstorm hit one day while I was at the store,, they took the initative to secure our awning, and all our campsite gear.
Nice, teriffic kids,, I was right.

Age 18, a no drama, good judge of character kid.
