Well i've been in the market looking to buy a truck.
I found the exact one I want but it is all the way in Texas.
I figure it might be cheaper to ship it or pay someone to drive it, rather then me flying out there to pick it up and drive it back.  Does anyone know a company or people that will do this?

Good luck. It will probably be cheaper to fly to it and drive it back.  Jordy did that when he bought his truck and GoFastRacer did that for hire once for his wife's company I think? :stupid

I figure flying out and driving it back will be around $800-$1000.

GoFastRacer might know something about this and he visits the board frequently enough to get a quick answer. :good

He knows all. :bowdown

That's pretty cheap, it'll cost ya over double to have someone else do it!. I brought a bobtail back from NJ and it would have costed $6000 to haul it or $4000 to have someone from back there drive it. It was around $2000 to fly me back there to drive it back, that included paying me, motels and perdiem!.. About 7 years ago, I sold my dually and it costed $1800 to ship it to NC, and that's before all this fuel bullshit, so a $1000 ain't bad at all!.. :good

I have a few transporters on file that I've used over the years for shipping cars...
send me a PM and I'll give you guys the ph#'s---might get a slightly better deal if you guys book both at the same time.
At least get some quotes and see what you're up against.

That's a good deal right there...!!!  :good
I had a great deal on a boat in Austin, TX, but transport to the 909 was a minimum $1.00/mile; this was back in 2003..!!

Those were BJ McKay prices back in the 70's.  :rotflmao

I agree with your point that it's probably more expensive now. :eek
