I was witness to the beginning of the new "look" of the Topock Marina restaurant last week.  :good

Actually I guess it started a couple of weeks ago...story goes something along the lines that some big corporation was fixin' to buy up the whole shootin match, level it and put up condos and the like. That would have meant an end to all the mobile homes and the old marina.

I was told the new owner snagged it when it fell out of escrow and he's remodeling the place. All kinds of improvements are planned. Things were in a bit of disarray - what with no doors on the ladies restroom and little things like that...the wimmen were a bit put out, but they liked the new motion activated paper towel dispensers!!! (just don't turn your back on them!;)

Seems they tried raising the price on a pitcher of Bloody Marys...that didn't last long :drink

It's a fact of Life:

After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

Hmmm.  Maybe they'll do something about that launch ramp.  We sucked gravel last August.  Not fun.  Good thing it was Sunday afternoon. I like Topoc, though.  Bar + Good Burger joint =  :good

Glad to hear this news.  Don't need hi-dens housing along this part of the river.  Those MFG houses by the golf course are bad enough... :D

Hey, isn't the trend "go to the river for piece and quiet", just like moving to the end of a runway and bitch about the planes coming and going!.. :rolleyes  :laugh  :laugh

I remember going in that place when I was about 6 y/o. We had a house in Topock I used to watch my Dad and all his friends get drunk on the river. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. :beer
