Hi y'all, newbie here trying to get some info on Perris lake. Basically we are trying to get away from big weekends at Havasu or Parker as well. If anyone can give me some input on the Perris Lake gig... I would appreciate it
Cheers
Ron

Lots of rented lake lice and you need to call for reservations unless you are going mid-week.  It fills up pretty early in the warm months.  Nice facility if you can get on. Sorry, I don't have the # for reservations.

Welcome to HDF, take of your jacket and stay awhile ;)

P.S. They are pretty strict on the speed limit and noise there too...  Go to Elsinore!

But otherwise its a pretty cool lake

Thanx for the heads up. Sounds like Elsinore might be a better bet. It doesn't really matter i guess, I'm gonna get wasted either way

As the warm months progress Perris gets a little, lets say, infested...Bacteria counts climbs significantly.
Doesn't help much when there are bathers and diapers in the water :rolleyes
When they toss out the aerators near the swimming area is when I'd stay out of there.
Otherwise it can be a fun place...No towables(ie tubes) allowed, I think anything that leaves the person in the water without anything to hold up and be more visible.
.
Even though Elsinore is kinda green it is a much cleaner lake.

"..... Perris Lake gig"-shooter101

I like these newbies that come on here and talk like they know ya! SHEESH! :laugh  Let's put it this way; I've lived about ten minutes away from Lake Virus for the past ten years and have only been there once; about four years ago. Tooooo many lice and toooo many eyes on ya! Elsinore, Silverwood, Pyramid, or Piru (never been there, but hear some good about it when it's full) are better bets. You can get on Perris w/o a reservation; but ya go on a waitin' list; and as boats leave, you're called up in order. Have seen peops over at Bernasconi all frickin' day waitin' to go boatin'! Nuts! :stupid
