I like to go here and check out the stats on Powell. Notice the change between inflow #'s between mid-march and now. don't know what's normal for this time of year, but

Funny thing is that people have been going to Powell for years with 18 - 20 foot boats... the Blue Canoe would have no problems. Â
You don't end up playing in the main channel anyways, go find a nice quiet canyon and you almost have your own private lake (San Juan arm is especially nice for getting away from people)
I think we need to plan a HD Lake Powell trip w/ a few housboats... I'll pitch for part of one. Â |
Powell has ALWAYS been my dream.....a true boaters paradise....just can't seem to justify the THOUSANDS that it will take....

You're using the word "justify" when talking about boats???
If we can split a Houseboat several ways, it wouldn't be that much for a week or so...
This summer is out for me, but we should start to make plans for next year.

Only three more weeks and I will be there. I would be up for a trip next year. Its not the thousands I cant justify, its the 13 hr drive that keeps me from going more often.

Anybody know what the weather is like up there the 2nd 2 weeks of July?? My wife has set vacations and we have been thinking about a trip up there. I would hate to get caught in storm there.
