Hello everybody. Just was wondering who you use. I seem to be needing a different carrier. I sold my boat and have a new one in the mold as we speak and can't wait but now comes the problem. My provider says they can't cover my new boat because of the horsepower. I am having a Mercruiser 525HP installed and according to Mercruiser it puts out 500 horses. We contacted my boat manufacturer and they pointed us in one direction and almost fell over when I saw the price. I need to do some more shopping. I usually get a small cost break being a took the 14wk Coast Guards safe boating and piloting class and have my certificate. I need some of you Southern Cali peoples help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys. No it is not a Cat, it is a LaveyCraft 2750 Nuera. I had BoatUS for years but looks like I'm going fishing for a new provider.

With the HP and size (yes, size matters) you are going to be hard pressed to find "cheap" insurance. The old stand-bys are Progressive and I currently use Foremost. Had everything under Wawanesa out of San Diego and they stopped insuring boats and RV's due to "high risk". Good luck, would like to know who you settle with and shop around myself. Foremost wasn't too pleased with 380hp but they took us though.

RiverLiver, I'm not very familiar with the functions but I went to Your Messenger and the box was empty. Did I look in the wrong spot.
