Actually right now I'm torn between a 30' Spectre with twin 300x's or a 35' Cigarette with twin big blocks. Â It's not an easy choice to make, believe it or not. Â
Hey Sleek, you know what annoys me? Â People from Tucson. Â Â Â
Besides, the post on RRL is entirely different than this one, right down to the title. Â Â Â Â Â

All signs are pointing in this direction:

I've given it alot of thought, and it hasn't been an easy decision. Â A year ago, the Cig would have been the hands down choice because the girl I was dating had a family place on Coronado so we could be there all the time. Â Now, realisitically, I probably won't hit the ocean but a couple times a year and I can do that without a problem in the Spectre. Â The Cig is about 11,000lbs on the trailer from what I've seen and heard. Â I have no problem pulling that around, but just don't see the need to now. Â For where I boat a majority of the time, the Spectre will be perfect and it's around 5K on the trailer.
The other issue was the top speed on the Cig being 70 mph or there abouts. Â I'd end up tearing stuff apart and building it to get more speed, then start breaking drives. Â The Spectre will run about 110 right now and will do it all day long. Â That's more my style. Â
I'm thinking I'll pick this up now and then a couple years down the road if I get tired of it, I'll do something else. Â It's a really fun boat though. Â Went for a ride in it last time at Havasu from the Sandbar down to the Channel and it absolutely cooks. Â Â

J/K, unless you were offened, then I mean it...
That looks like it should be an e-ticket ride Mr. Paulk... be careful. Â |
I've got the Koolaid hat already. Besides, I want something I can play with in Lake Pacific and a 26' openbow doesn't really meet that requirement.
As far as being careful, I'm planning on calling Lisa over at Lifeline next week and getting a set of poker run vests for the boat, that way I'm set for the speed runs. I know there is going to be a learning curve on this one, but I'm looking forward to it.

Justin aka 78Eliminator has the Disco Pimp Schiada for sale right now. Â The interior is all new and it shines like a new disco penny. Â I think if that Super Focker of a husband really loved you he'd buy it for you right now. Â Â Â Â |
I'm not sure Super Focker is going to put our much more CASHEESH in the near future....since today he bought a "Mommie Ring" for me...because I'm a great prego wifey...

Although I would love the Pimp Shiada, I'll of course let him know it's up for sale again (just in case, he's feeling loose with his dough...however, I have never known him to be loose with cash!
